Join us on Thursday, February 25th at 7pm for an overview of the Under-ground Railroad in Illinois, early legislative history of Illinois and Black Codes presented by Terry Ransom. Terry Ransom retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation in 2004, after twenty-five years of service and thirty-four years with State Government. Terry has based his research upon the works of W.B. Sieber, whose book The Underground Railroad – From Slavery to Freedom was printed in 1898, and continues to be the most authoritative source of information on the subject.
